It happened at the end of October. But the time to tell it has come only now - this story needed time, like good wine.

More precisely, the dog needed time.

I am indescribably disgusted with those who take their dogs out and throw them out of their cars. And they do every year. And the dachshunds leave their animals at the closed dachas, and these... who come to a dead-end village, open the door, push their dog out - and hit the gas. A separate caste of shameless and heartless, who can do the same to old animals, and pregnant, and puppies, and in the winter to throw out and in the woods, and even tie there. Just to be sure.

But someone threw it out, someone saved it, and thus the balance of good and evil continues its existence and goes on a new circle.

At the end of October, our employee Pasha saw another betrayal: it was just at the edge of the village, in the first frosts, a car rolled up, and from there kicked the dog's ass. Like a dog - a soup set with no undercoat. Then I recorded a series of stories about him on Instagram with the hope that someone would respond instead of me.

But, of course, no one responded. Not because everyone is bad, but because the dog is quite serious, and such decisions should be made in a balanced way.

And the dog was freezing.

We named him Bucephalus. Like Alexander the Great's horse :) To fatten up into a big and strong one.

Bucephalus turned out to be a battered, skinny, but very kind dog who just had to be fed and loved. Two months changed him completely, turned him into a gorgeous, muscular, very active and social dog, whose collar stopped falling off over his head.

I want to believe that this - another - story will resonate in people's hearts, and that they, in conversation with friends or family or at work, will somehow mention that it's okay to treat animals as family members, but not to betray them. That saving and loving is right and not shameful, and should be so in the coordinate system of the common man ❤️
